Carpooling on long trips: Tips and precautions

I understand what's at stake

Did you know? The average occupancy rate for a car is 1.43 people for short trips (less than 80 km) and 2.25 people for long trips (more than 80 km)… including the driver!

  • reduce the number of cars on the road,
  • ease traffic congestion,
  • lower transportation-related greenhouse gas emissions,
  • make traveling more enjoyable.
