Transport
Find out how to refuel less often by practicing eco-driving
I understand what's at stake
Eco-driving involves adopting driving habits that significantly reduce fuel consumption—and thus greenhouse gas emissions—for the same distances traveled:
- Avoid sudden movements (accelerating and braking): Anticipating traffic slowdowns by gradually reducing speed (using engine braking whenever possible) and accelerating gently reduces energy consumption by 20% compared to aggressive driving
- Drive at a moderate speed: A difference of just a few km/h can have a significant impact
- Check vehicle maintenance and tire pressure: A poorly maintained vehicle or underinflated tires can lead to excessive fuel consumption.
Taking action
- Easily memorize the rules of eco-driving by printing this poster (in French) and displaying it in a prominent place.
