🔌🚗 Driving an electric car

Electric vehicles now have engines of comparable power to combustion-powered cars. Powered by batteries that can be recharged from the domestic electricity grid or from recharging points, which are beginning to be installed all over the country, these vehicles now have a range of several hundred kilometres.

They are therefore ideally suited to the vast majority of daily journeys. Quiet and non-polluting at the point of use, they are ideal for city traffic. An electric motor requires very little maintenance compared with a petrol or diesel engine, and can last much longer. As a result, this type of vehicle is more economical to run.

In fact, some towns and cities are encouraging the development of electric cars, by granting them benefits or hosting electric car-sharing services.

Notes

Consider proposing this action only if it > 0 or even > several hundred kgCO2eq. The action may be negative if the initial vehicle is relatively old and the number of kilometres driven is low.
