We previously used a figure taken from the ADEME study Survey on Wood Fuel Prices in 2023, page 10 of the full report. 33 cm logs, delivered price, Q3 2023.
However, in view of inflation, we felt it would be more accurate to seek an updated price. In the absence of official data (from the government, INSEE, etc.), we have chosen to use the average provided by the ‘bois de chauffage – énergie’ website, calculated from 379 prices recorded nationwide.
We average the figures from the last 6 months to obtain an average for the period. Last updated in June 2026.
