Over the past two generations, air travel has become relatively common: the price of tickets, the accessibility of countries where the cost of living is low, and a general encouragement to “see the world”… all these factors have contributed to the explosion in aviation emissions worldwide.

This surge is still driven by a minority, since the majority of people rarely fly, if at all.

But you don’t have to go very far to experience a change of scenery or to have great adventures! So, as much as possible, let’s limit air travel to essential flights: rare visits to family on another continent, or crossing a sea or ocean as part of a long-distance trip…
